I will play a leading role in positioning the Centre as a focal point to assist the local automotive manufacturer in the development of automotive parts and components.It is expected that AEC will play a key role in supporting and enhancing sustainable development of the Malaysian automotive industry by providing automotive component & system testing, automotive standards, R&D which include design and analysis, homologation & type approval testing and other development and certification services. This will support Road Transport Department; Department of Environment; and the government of Malaysia in ensuring that the National Automotive Policy is being implemented by the Automotive Industry player.
The role will also involve linking the AEC to other SIRIM’s research centres and other operational units and subsidiaries which could support its mission and objectives.
I have to establish and maintain close contacts and relationships with national and international agencies, research and industrial organizations, associations or R&D companies to establish collaborative R&D projects, technology ventures of mutual benefit and business prospecting relating to automotive industry. I am also required to actively participate in national and international forums, committees and working groups to keep abreast of the latest technology and business developments and related matters. I am also expected to proactively explore and exploit collaborative and consultancy opportunities in national and international programs in order to enhance the business performance of the Centre.
I will assist the President in planning and developing the short, medium and long-term strategic Business plan in automotive industry relevant to the national developmental objectives as well as the business objectives of the Company.

I miss working wt him so much as a good leader and a friend by heart.
My trip to East Malaysia today, reminds me the 1 month tour I did with En Sidik in 2008, "initiative to Improve the SSI for Sales Network"
Hope to see you fit once I return from my solo mission.

When i visited him @icu..he still weak and cant really moved..but still can make all the stupid jokes plus he still have time to reply sms eventho dalam icu! Lets pray for his speedy recovery.
